Hi! My name's Logan Platt and I’m a motivated Public Relations and Advertising graduate from Point Park University looking to leverage years of interpersonal customer service into a dynamic public relations or communications-related position. My time at Point Park led me to multiple leadership positions, both with the Point Park Rugby Team and Bison Media, Point Park’s student-run, in house public relations agency. During my tenure as President and Firm Director, I learned to utilize relationships made in order to benefit the organization as well as manage multiple groups of people working on various projects. I recently graduated in December 2020 with a Bachelor of Arts degree in Public Relations and Advertising and plan to work in the sports marketing field.

Working for my family's plumbing company, Apex Plumbing & Services Inc., I've been around construction sites for as long as I can remember. Even before I could provide any useful help, I was still running around, being a nuisance and taking it all in. It's what initially inspired me to pursue engineering before I landed in public relations, providing me with a wider perspective of the trades and a greater appreciation for those that work in manual labor. That experience has made me understand the true value of hard work and cherish the work I'm currently doing that much more.
RUGBY

After wrestling and playing football for 15 years, I decided it was time for a change after graduating high school. Initially stepping back from any extracurriculars to focus on my studies, I found out that it's impossible for me to stay away from sports so I found rugby and started playing for the Pittsburgh Men's Rugby Football Club. I started playing for Point Park when I transferred to the school and immediately sought out a leadership position, maintaining the history of competing in the Three Rivers Rugby Conference and fundraising on campus as President of the club.
